Measures Against Covid-19

The Art of Calm takes your health seriously. Although the risk for contracting Covid-19 is very low in Hong Kong, we have put in place a number of Health & Safety Measures to keep you safe and offer peace of mind. We thank you in advance for your help in these endeavors.

Mask Wearing

Until further review, all staff members will wear masks during classes. While mask-wearing is not mandatory for students, we encourage the continued use of masks indoors.

Taking Temperatures

We screen all staff members and students upon arrival to check for raised temperatures. We encourage those with temperatures of 37.5 degrees celsius to cancel their attendance and stay at home to rest. Students enrolled in our ‘Meditation Theory and Practice’ course, who are unwell, can contact us to arrange a make-up class.

Hand Sanitizer

Hand sanitizer is available for communal use at the entrance of the premises and in the classroom. It is recommended that all staff and students use it when they come in and before washing their hands in the restroom.

Wash Hands Policy

A sink to wash hands is available for students’ use near the entrance of the premises. We ask that all staff and students wash their hands upon entering and we encourage frequent and longer hand washing.

Limited Student Numbers

For the time being, we have capped the number of students attending our indoor classes at 8. This lowers risk, by allowing us to sit at the recommended 1.5m from each other and gives students extra comfort while meditating or receiving instruction. Staff numbers in the meditation room will be limited to 2.

Cleaning of Equipment

We’ve strengthened the above Health & Safety measures by cleaning surfaces students have used after class.

We appreciate your contributions in helping us all stay healthy and safe.
